HOW IT WORKS
The Flatmaster 2000 introduces dry/filtered air from outside into the home.
The damp/stale air is expelled from the building through any air spaces such as cracks in floorboards, letter boxes, doors etc. This has the effect of curing condensation and making for a healthy environment.
WHY A FLATMASTER 2000?
Where you do not have a roof, typically a ground floor flat, the only available dry air source is directly from outside.
The Flatmaster 2000 has heat detectors so when the incoming air is cool it is tempered automatically.
BEWARE the Standard Flatmaster is cheap but has no heating and we do not recommend this product.
Note that the running costs are not high. Only about 20% of all the heating costs heat the air and only a small part of the air is actually input by the Drimaster - and only when needed.
A Flatmaster installation would take an average of 5 hours hours to fit depending on the configuration of the dwelling. Can be a DIY job but have the wiring checked. Note that approx. 4" hole is needed to be drilled through the wall but this would be the case if a normal fan were to be fitted.
Extra ducting will/may be required - local DIY store will supply.
The drying effect is almost immediate, a few days at the most, but any black mould must be cleaned off once never to return.
Every 5 years the filters need swapping for new.......otherwise leave it alone to dry the home automatically.
